Festival de Cine Hip Hop @ Club Old School

Pues nosotros también hemos kerido unirnos a la fiesta del Festi de Cine, pero a nuestro rollu, jejeje...

Pues de ke mejor manera, en pleno Mes De La Historia de la Cultura Hip Hop, ke preparandonos nuestro propio ciclo de proyecciones, y recordar así como empezó todo esto, y como se desarrolló hasta nuestros dias, y entender un poco de ke va en realidad todo esto.

Pa ello, abriremos el Old School desde el jueves hasta el domingo, desde las 8, pa mostrar unas cuantas pelis y docus ke muestran la esencia de la cultura ke tanto amamos. Algunas ya las habras visto, otras son bastante exclusivas y dificiles de encontrar en internet, y seguro ke verla solito en casa no es lo mismo, mejor con mas peña, no?

Akí dejo la selección:

"GUERRA DE ESTILOS" ("Style Wars", 1982) Toda una joya ripeada de un vhs grabao de su emisión en TVE 2, en 1987, DOBLADA AL CASTELLANO. El mítico reportaje de Henry Chalfant, en el ke aparecen todos los pioneros del Graff de NY, y ke muestra la escena old school ORIGINAL. Es un gustazo ver juntos a todos los pioneros, algunos cuando tenian tan solo 15 años, en su ambiente natural. Un pasote si kieres entender de donde salió todo esto, y EN ESPAÑOL! MUY RECOMENDABLE, Y MUY DIFICIL DE ENCONTRAR EN LA RED.

"WILD STYLE" (1982) CON SUBTITULOS EN CASTELLANO!! La primera peli sobre Hip Hop, la puta Biblia!! Todos sus "actores" son pioneros del rap, break, graff, djing... como Lee, Lady Pink y todos los United Artists, Busy Bee, Cold Crush Brothers, Grandmaster Caz, Grandmaster Flash, Rock Steady Crew... casi sin dialogos y "historia", pero con imagenes y sonidos ke son joyas documentales, retratan muy guay la escena pionera del Bronx Sur, en un formato underground real. Bufff...

"BEAT STREET" (1984) En español, fácil de encontrar, pero muy grata e ver en compañia. Mas jolivudiense ke "Wild Style", pero la culpable absoluta de ke toda la vieja escuela nos metieramos en el Hip Hop, cuando no sabiamos ni sikiera ke esto se llamaba así. Cuantas veces habremos dao vueltas a su famosa escena del Roxi, con la batalla entre Rock Steady Crew y New York City Breakers, hasta rayar la puta cinta de video. Despues de verla, ya me kedé pillao de esto... y como yo, creo ke más!

Aki ya son actores los protagonistas, pero entre los secundarios están peña original como el padre del Hip Hop, el gran Dj Kool Herc, los Rock Steady, NY CITY BREAKERS, AFRIKA BAMBAATAA, Dj Jazzy Jay, DOUG E. FRESH, KOOL MOE DEE, las primeras femcees como SHA-ROCK, LISA DEE... Esencial!

"SCRATCH"(2002). La historia del djing, hasta casi nuestros dias. Explica perfectamente todo el desarrollo de la movida. Es tambien facil de encontrar, esta en español, pero tambien es de grata visión en compañia. IMPRESCINDIBLE!! La complementaremos con su SEGUNDA PARTE: "SCRATCH 2: ALL THE WAY LIVE", un documental sobre la gira de promoción del docu, en un actuación en el House of Blues de Los Angeles con algunos de sus protagonistas. Está en ingles, pero casi no tiene dialogos, y creeme ke lo ke hay ke saber, ya está en su primera parte, jejeje...

THE FRESHEST KIDS (2002) SUBTITULAO EN CASTELLANO!! Tan sólo hace unos dias ke alguien lo tradujo a español. Lo sacó la peña de la Fundation y la Zulu Nation, y te explica toda la historia del bboying. Es un docu como Scratch pero hablando de Break, y su relación histórica con el resto de elementos, sobre todo con el rap. Muy, muy, muy recomendable, llevaba esperandola desde ke salió para entender cosas ke se me escapaban en inglés. Ya es la 10ª vez ke la veo esta semana!!

Una de las cosas ke molan, aparte de ver como empezó todo para el ke no lo conocía, es ver como le fue a esa misma peña hasta llegar a nuestros días, y ke hacen actualmente, despues de ke salieran de las calles y posiblemente sobrevivieran gracias a inventarse el B-BOYING, y por el camino les pasaran cosas como protagonizar esas pelis como Beat Street, Wild Style, Style Wars... les trataran como estrellas, con giras mundiales, y en cuanto pasó la moda se olvidaron de ellos, volvieron a la mierda, y como retomaron una vez más sus vidas, volviendo a la carga años después, y algunos estan activos estos dias. Toda una lección de humildad para toda la gente ke todavia piensa ke la pasta es lo ke mola, y ke el Hip Hop se basa en eso. Quieres ver lo ke pasa despues de ser famoso? Kieres ke te lo cuenten los ke inventaron el Hip Hop?

Por supuesto, podeis traer vuestras propias pelis y docus pa ver, aki esta el proyector, asi ke si se te ocurre alguna mas...
